Harris Ikmal, a 14-year-old Malaysian guitarist with a growing passion for rock, instrumental, melodic guitar and fusion.

His musical journey began at 9 years old by observing his father play guitar at home. Inspired by that, Harris gradually picked up the guitar himself and began learning through a combination of self-practice, online lessons and guidance from music teachers.

As his interest grew, Harris began exploring different styles and techniques. He enjoys challenging himself with technically demanding pieces while also paying attention to tone, expression and musicality.

Through consistent practice and his love for performing, Harris has participated in various guitar and music competitions and has achieved wins in several competitions. Harris has also had the opportunity to be involved in orchestral performances.

Harris enjoys creating music-related content and connecting with other musicians and guitar enthusiasts. His journey has also given him opportunities to collaborate with music brands, retailers and musicians, allowing him to learn more about guitars, effects, equipment and the creative side of music.

At 14, Harris is still discovering his own musical identity. He enjoys learning from experienced musicians while developing his own style and exploring different musical environments.

For Harris, guitar is not simply about playing notes. It is about learning, experimenting, expressing himself and enjoying the journey of making music.
